Bucks Register of Wills and Three Others Charged in Political Corruption Probe

Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler on Friday filed criminal charges against the county’s Register of Wills and three of her staff members for a pattern of political corruption, favoritism and petty theft dating back many years.

During a press conference Friday morning, Heckler said his office would follow the recommendations of a Grand Jury and prosecute Register of Wills Barbara Reilly, her former second deputy Rebecca Keifer, 64, of Warrington, and administrator Candace Quinn, 53, of Bristol, to the fullest extent of the law.

They are charged with theft by deception, criminal conspiracy and tampering with public records, all felonies in the third degree, in addition to obstruction and official oppression, both misdemeanors.
