Police in Lower Southampton are on the look-out after two weekend robberies in which the suspect pulled a knife.

Saturday, 3:05 a.m.:

The first robbery happened at the Wawa located in the Trevose section of the township.

The suspect walked up to the counter, anxiously demanded money and grabbed the female clerks arm. The clerk said when the suspect was gabbing the money he held her neck and that is when she noticed he had a knife, according to police reports.

Police said, when the suspect went to leave the store he slipped and dropped approximately $90 on the floor. According to Wawa employees the suspect still made off with nearly $100.

Police said, the suspect had a white scarf or hooded sweat shirt, which he used to cover his face.

The suspect had plastic bags tied to cover the soles of his shoes, said police.

Sunday 7:11 a.m.:

Lower Southampton cops believe the man who robbed the Wawa struck the Burger King located in the Feasterville section of the township.

According to the police report, the suspect entered the restaurant and grabbed an employee, putting a knife to his side and forcing him into the office.

The suspect next grabbed a female employee who was working in the office and asked her to give him the money. She complied and opened the restaurant’s safe, police reported.

The suspect only took money from top cash drawer in the safe, while three more drawers and two night deposit drops sat below it, untouched by the criminal, police said.

After taking the cash the suspect ripped the phone off the wall, took the female employees purse and threw it, according to police documents.

The two Burger King employees were told to get under a desk in the office and stay there as the suspect left, police said.

In both robberies it is believed the suspect fled in a car, according to police.

Lower Southampton police say the suspect in both robberies is a white male, about 6-feet-tall, in his early 20’s, he wore a black leather jacket and black leather gloves.
