Homicide Charges to be Filed 36 Years After Warminster Shooting

Update 2:40 p.m.: Man in Custody for Murder That Happened in 1973

Update 10:27 a.m.: Warminster Police have announced that Domingo Lopez Negron will be turning himself in at the police station located on Gibson Avenue around 1 p.m. today. We will be on-scene to cover the event.

Original Story:

When 54-year-old , Joseph Kwiatkowski, died from complications from a bullet strike,  in 2009, it meant Bucks County authorities finally have the chance to press homicide charges against the man who shot him, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

The alleged shooter, Domingo Lopez Negron, now 62, is expected to turn himself into authorities today and according to the Courier will fight the charges.

Kwiatkowski was shot in the back 36-year-ago during a fight that occurred outside a foodmart in the Warminster Heights section of Warminster, according to the article.

The newspaper reports, that Negron was sentenced to jail time after the 1973 shooting.
