Thuy Van “Tony” Vo is awaiting trial in the strangulation slaying of An-Hnan Thi Huynh, who owned Kim’s Nails in Upper Southampton.

Prosecutors will not seek the death penalty in the case of a Philadelphia man accused of murdering a popular Upper Southampton nail salon owner.

Thuy Van “Tony” Vo, 31, waived his arraignment Friday in Bucks County Court in Doylestown. The hearing would have been the deadline for prosecutors to file a notice of aggravating factors, making Vo’s upcoming trial a capital case.

“After consideration, it was determined that none of the aggravating factors applied,” said Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Schorn.

Vo is charged with criminal homicide in the strangulation death of An-Hnan Thi Huynh, 30, of Philadelphia.
