Blockbuster, a once thriving national entertainment rental chain will be shuttering it’s Warminster location come March, an employee said Thursday.

The Blockbuster located in the Warminster Towne Center shopping plaza, which also houses Kohl’s and Ross, located on Street Road in Warminster, will be closing March 15, 2011, according to an employee who answered the phone.

The employee also told BuxMontNews.con that the store has stopped renting out DVD’s, Blu-Rays and video games.

The Warminster Blockbuster will only be selling DVD’s, Blu-Rays and video games, many of which are less than $8, said the employee.

Blockbuster is struggling financially and has closed many of its brick and mortar stores in favor of internet and self dispensing movie rental business opportunities.

Within the past few years Blockbuster has also shuttered stores in Upper Southampton and Richboro.
