Crews Respond to Fire at Grocery Store

Fire crews from Bucks and Montgomery counties responded to a fire that was reported at the Bottom Dollar Food Store on Bustleton Pike in Lower Southampton, Wednesday morning.

Smoke was reported to be coming from a circuit breaker box in the rear of the store around 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, according to the Feasterville Fire Company.

A Lower Southampton Fire Marshal was first to arrive at the store and reported light smoking showing.

The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes, no word on the extent of the damage.

Bottom Dollar Food Store located in the Feasterville section of Lower Southampton, has only been open a few months.

The Feasterville Fire Company reports, that Lower Southampton police and the township’s fire marshal’s office are investigating the incident.

Crews from the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad, Nottingham Fire Co. in Bensalem, Trevose Fire Co., Huntington Valley Fire Co., Southampton Fire Co., Northampton Fire Department, Lower Southampton Fire Co. and the Bryn Athyn Fire Co. assisted the Feasterville Fire Company.
