Former High School Football Star Could Be Facing Jail for Gunpoint Robbery

A former Central Bucks South star running back is facing the possibility of hard time in a state prison for the gunpoint robbery of two women in Upper Moreland in March 2010.

But it could have been worse.

The prosecution has opted not to seek a five-year mandatory-minimum sentence against Eric Coston Reynolds, 21, of the 1400 block of Graeme Way, Warwick. While committing a crime with a gun could have triggered that mandatory sentence, prosecutors have the option not to pursue it.

“I looked at the case and thought that there is the likelihood that this kid can be rehabilitated and a sentence in the standard range will give him that chance,” said Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Lauren McNulty.
