County Issues Code Blue Alert; Temps. Expected to Drop into the Teens

Monday, the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency and the county health department announced that they have issued a “Code Blue” weather alert as temperatures for the next few days are expected to be frigid.

The county says in a press release that the “code blue” warning is in effect from this evening until Friday morning.

This months on-call shelter is Emmaus Road Lutheran, located in Fairless Hills.

The on-call church will coordinate transportation, temporary shelter, food and other necessities, says the county.

Emmaus Road Lutheran is a temperary evening shelter, officals ask people not to arrive until 9:00 p.m.

County officials also are urging people to check on the elderly and bring their pets inside as tonight temperature is expected to 15 degrees.
