Upper Moreland Cops Investigate Suspicious Man

Police in Upper Moreland report that a suspicious man was investigated, after he was spotted by an alert resident knocking on doors, Friday afternoon.

After investigation the man was discovered to be an solicitor without a permit.

Police Chief Thomas Nestel said that the man was knocking on doors in the neighborhood of Newington Dr., when an alert resident spotted the and notified cops.

Nestel said that knocking on doors in a neighborhood is a “common ruse for burglars.”

The alert resident was praised for their reporting of the man and Nestel asked that if others see activity like this to feel free to call Upper Moreland police.

Shortly before Christmas police in Upper Moreland stopped three solicitors.
