Police: Stop Traffic; Arrest Suspect

Moreland Road near Davisville Road was closed this afternoon while Upper Moreland police arrested an alleged felon who was spotted driving a car stolen from Philadelphia.

Moreland Road, which is located in the Willow Grove section of Upper Moreland, was closed in both directions for about 5 minutes this afternoon, officers took the suspect into custody, said police Chief Thomas Nestel.

Nestel said that Officer Ken Johnson spotted the vehicle, which was reported stolen from Philadelphia and called for additional units. The road was closed when the officers went to stop the felons car, according to Nestel

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Upper Moreland police thanks motorist who patiently waited while the road was shut down.

Nestel tells BuxMontNews.com that an investigation is still ongoing.
