Light snow along with frizzing drizzle fell over night but forecasters say that is only the appetizer to a larger storm.

Forecasters say that warm air high above the ground reduced the amount of snow that we saw on the ground when we awoke this morning.

Upper Moreland police said in a Nixle.com message that the roads have been salted in the township and they are just wet.

Snow, ice, rain showers can be expected during the day today according to a forecast from the National Weather Service.

But late tonight and early tomorrow a mix of snow, ice and rain will begin to fall transitioning over to just rain by sunrise. When the rain hits the below freezing surfaces it will freeze causing an icy glaze for tomorrow’s commute, says Meteorologist Bill Deger on Accuweather.com

Degers forecast also says that rain will continue throughout the day Wednesday.
