Woman Who Caused Crash Found to be Intoxicated, Carrying Pills & Crack Pipes

A Warminster woman who was believed to be under the influence, carrying crack pipes and in possession of over 300 pills was arrested by Lower Southampton Police Saturday night after she caused a serious car accident.

Stacy Ketzes, 45 of Warminster was arrested after police who responded to the accident noticed her glassy eyes, slurred speech and the stench of alcohol coming from her.

Police say that the Ford Five Hundred sedan that the impaired Ketzes was driving rear ended a 2008 Mitsubishi driven which was occupied by a Philadelphia couple who were treated on the scene by members of the Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad.

The accident which brought out members of the Feasterville Fire Company occurred at the  intersection of Bustleton Pike and County Line Road shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday evening.

Ketzes admitted to drinking wine earlier in the evening and also told police that she had been prescribed Oxycontin and Xanax.

Lower Southampton Police Officer Christian Tracy administered four field sobriety test, three of them Ketzes failed.

Police reported finding 248 Zanax pills along with 165 Oxycontin pills along with various other amounts of pills that were loose in her purse. Ketzes told the officer she is prescribed the pills.

Officer Tracy discovered what is believed to be two crack pipes which will be sent way for analysis.

Ketzes who was treated on-scene by paramedics was handcuffed after being released to police. When she had to get the cuffs off to sign paperwork for the rescue squad she requested to go to the hospital due to increasing pain. She was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital where she gave two vials of blood and a urine sample to police who will send them out for testing.

Ketzes was charged with possession, driving under the influence, and possession of drug paraphernalia via summons pending lab results.
