Flipped Vehicle Closes Terwood Road

January 15, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

A vehicle went off Terwood Road and flipped onto its side and into a ditch shortly before 7:30 Saturday night.

An ambulance from the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad of Willow Grove was called to the scene but police gave no further information on injuries. Early scanner reports indicated that after the crash the occupants of the vehicle remained inside.

Upper Moreland police reported that Terwood Road was closed between Lundy Lane and Papermill Road  until about 8:30 p.m. as crews worked to remove the flipped car. Fire Police were called to the scene to direct traffic.

Police urged motorist tonight to beware of ice on the roads caused by snow melting during the day and refreezing on road surfaces as the tempatures drop at night.
