The Bucks County Coroner says Raymond Bloemker, 40, of Upper Southampton was the passenger who was killed Saturday morning when the car he was in veered off the road.

The female driver who a source exclusively tells BuxMontNews.com was under the influence when she lost control and slammed into three trees.

Northampton Police Detective Sergent Bill Klein said that Bloemker was a “long standing acquaintance” of the female driver, but would give no more details.

Klein said that he cannot comment on what a source close to police exclusively told BuxMontNews.com on whether the female driver of the 2008 Mazda Six who is a resident of Upper Southampton Township was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time of the crash. We are also told the woman had previous run-ins with local authorities which Klein could not confirm. The female driver suffered only minor injuries and was released from the hospital shortly after the crash.

Bloemker was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

The crash occurred minutes after 6:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of East Bristol Road west of Murray Road in the Churchville section of Northampton.

The Mazda was barely recognizable when our source saw the “gruesome” scene.

Police are still investigating and said they will release more when the investigation is completed.

If you witnessed or have any information on the crash contact the Northampton Police Department at 215-322-6111.
