With the Eagles NFC Playoff position safe and secure as the 3rd seed, Dan Kevin Kolb, not Micheal Vick will start against the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday.

Vick, who has taken a pounding in the last several games and missed practice has a quad injury to this thigh will reportedly sit out  the meaningless game with division rival’s the Dallas Cowboys.

The Eagles might not know untill late Sunday night who they’ll be playing in there first playoff action due to the battle for the Western Divisional Title between the St. Louis Cardinal and Seattle Seahawks.

Vick, apparently playing in pain during the Tuesday’s game plans will be  ready and rested for his first start as a QB in the playoff  since 2004, when he was  starting for Atlanta  who lost to the Eagles 27-10  in the NFC Conference championship Game.

In other news, the Temple Owls came close to defeating another top-ten ranked team in December falling to local rivals Villanova 78-74.

Temple now 9-3 look ahead traveling to New York City to face Fordham University in a conference game in the new year.

The streak of all team streaks in college sports ended late last night as Stanford University defeated the University of Connecticut 71-59.

The 8th ranked Cardinals,  the last team to beat UCONN (In April of 2008)  out played, out shot and out hustled the lady-huskies.

It won’t surprise any one if these two teams meet up during “March Madness.”
