Police in Warminster arrested two suspects who they believe fired more than 40 rounds from a rifle across Street Road and toward the Warminster Towne Shopping Center before daybreak Tuesday.

Joseph B. Carr, 20, of Warminster and James W. Pearson, 22, also of Warminster were taken into custody hours after the shooting took place.

Police say the two used a .22 caliber rifle with a scope and homemade silencer.

Authorities believe that Carr and Pearson were just shooting and not targeting a specific person or place.

The shooting occurred minutes after 5 a.m. when ShopRite employees who were feet away outside the grocery store reported that shots were fired. Police report that the ShopRite employees ran for cover as the bullets flew through the shopping center, no one was injured said Chief Michael Murphy.

Police arrived at 5:15 a.m. and discovered bullet fragments and a bullet lodged in a bench outside the store.

Warminster police were assisted by Northampton, Warwick and Warrington officers and cordoned off O’Neil Buick and GMC to search for clues. Police on-scene found shell casings along the tree line toward the rear of O’Neil Buick and GMC.

Police aided by Central Bucks Detectives collected evidence through-out the day.

By 1 p.m. Chief Murphy was already reporting his department had two suspects and was planning to make an arrest later in the afternoon.

Investigators revealed that no bullets went inside the ShopRite store but did enter the Sovereign Bank located across from where the two are believed to have fired the rifle from. Multiple bullets went through a glass window, hit the wall and also struck a soffit.

On Carr’s Facebook.com profile his default profile photo is one that says, “Fuck the police”, he lists his religion as agnostic and a quote on his profile says, “Go big or go home.” James Pearson could not be located on Facebook as of press time.

Carr and Pearson are both being charged with charged with numerous counts of discharge of firearm into occupied structure, criminal conspiracy, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief.

The pair will be arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Michael Burns this evening.

Honestly, the writer of this article is morbid, and unintelligable at best. The article barely describes anything of consequence, lists facts of no concern, and was pretty much written as a biased opinion disguised as news.Disregarding the redundencies amassed in this joke of a news script, the facts stated make laugh almost as much as the author’s knowledge of writing.”he lists his religion as agnostic and a qoute on his profile says,’Go big or go home.” What does his religion,or that specific qoute have to do with anything? Frankly, listing someone’s Facebook page as a source, and using some of the least relevent information to boot,is one of the best ways to prove one’s stupidity,in my opinion. I understand using the “F— the police” qoute in this article,to a degree, considering most news groups love drama, but any 20 year old male living in the suburbs of Philadelphia most likely falls into the same group,or is closely related to an officer. Is this an article for children to read? Am I missing some important disclaimer somewhere,”Do not read if your I.Q. is above 45 points”? I looked up the article to this specific event, since I live in Horsham, and am concerned with the names I heard involved, and also wanted some more information.Yet I leave this site dissapointed, and wondering how this article’s author still has his job.

What are you on about? What about the stupid thing they did? Where is your concern there?

The fact is,anyone reading this site is still in the dark about what happened, and who did it.Just because they are suspects, and being arraigned for the crime, does not mean they actually did said crime. Moreover, the little information about said crime is just as worrying.Severel local fast food places have been robbed at late hours, and I actually have to be out and about in the dark for my job some times. If anything, the lack of information on this site, and many others for that matter,is almost as scary as the little information I do get to see.

Of course I get a thickheaded imbecile to critique my comment,as if you have the grammer skills of a three year-old.I wasn’t looking for your moronic opinion on how well they write on this site.Frankly,I was appalled at how little relevent information was mentioned. This is a big thing in ting is this area, and if you read this site, you should know that. There is barely anything here that I didn’t hear from word of mouth.”Let thou without sin cast the first stone.” You wish to say my posting is a trainwreck? Please do not talk down on my wordsmithing, considering you used “ur” as your.I believe you already disqualified from the second grade spelling bee there.Anything else to troll about?

I agree with the first comment that Joe’s FB page has absolutely nothing to do with the crime.

I know Joe, and some of his friendds are saying “Free Joe!” as their status on FB. Personally, I don’t feel like he should be freed. He did a serious crime, and was very lucky no one was hurt. He has to face the consequences. Some of his friends probably don’t agree with me, but firing a gun, whether on purpose or accident, or not firing at anyone, is just wrong. And anyone over the age of 5 knows that it’s not okay.

    Hes where he belongs.

I agree whole-heartedly.Is Joe related at all to the late Nick Carr,by any chance?May hap you know if James is related to a Steve.I’m worried about a buddy of mine, having a tough time himself.I’ve been unable to get in contact, but the last name is of concern to me.

They’re both idiots. What were they thinking? What if they had hit some innocent person? Killed them or worse? I’m guessing that they both already had Records since they were pinched so quickly. Stupid is as stupid does.

Don’t you people have something better to do than to sit on the computer and judge people that you don’t know who they are…? What if he was you son, your brother, or your father? I think that then you would all feel differently. Again get more reasonable lives and stop googling people that you have no idea who they are. Pathetic.

Sorry Eric, I also know both of the idiots who did this and anyone who actually knows them will know that they are constantly in trouble. It comes as no surprise that they did this, so let them go to jail or the looney bin. I say that they are idiots because I know them. Its not judgement, its fact. “You reap what you so longer than you sow.”
