Willow Grove Store Robbed; K-9 on Track of Suspect (Updated)

Dec. 28, 2010 6:57 p.m.: Abington police have released a photo of the suspect.

Dec. 24, 2010 6:16 p.m.: Abington police tell BuxMontNews.com that the suspect implied that he was armed in the robbery but never produced a weapon.

Police also say no one was injured and the suspect fled on the SEPTA tracks toward Upper Moreland.

Dec. 24, 2010 7:31 a.m.: We have contacted police and are waiting for more information on this case.

Dec. 23, 2010 7:41 p.m.: The recently opened Bottom Dollar Food Store in the Willow Grove section of Abington near the Upper Moreland border was robbed shortly after 7 p.m. this evening.

Abington police have a K-9 unit that is following the scent of the robber on the SEPTA tracks into Upper Moreland Township.

Upper Moreland police say a white male that robbed the Davisville and Moreland Roads located store, the suspect is described as having a distinctive auburn beard and wearing a dark green sweatshirt.

If you see this man call 9-1-1.
