Coveralls Bandit Strikes Again

Police in Middletown and Langhorne report the coveralls bandit who robbed a Northampton cleaners has struck three more businesses.

The latest robbery occurred Tuesday night in Langhorne when he robbed a Dollar General. Police report he entered the Dollar General with his “Carhartt” coveralls and pulled a box cutter, stole money and ran.

Minutes later he attempted to rob a bistro style restaurant but fled before he was able to obtain any cash.

Middletown Township police say they believe the coveralls bandit struck a Chinese restaurant on Tuesday December 7. The suspect was seen leaving the robbery on a red and chrome mountain bike.

Friday police say the coveralls robber struck the Village Cleaners Friday night in the Holland section of Northampton Township.

The man is believed to have walked into the cleaners which is on Buck Road walked up to employees, pulled out a box cutter, went behind the counter and demanded money. Employees opened the cash register door for the man he proceeded to take the money out of the register.

The coveralls bandit was caught walking into a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts minutes before the robbing the cleaners, the surveillance video shows him reaching into his back right pocket and then turning around and leaving the store.

Northampton police described the coveralls bandit as being an “older” white man as being around 5’8”, a dark knit cap, dark framed glasses, a dark bandanna tied around his neck, light-colored Carhartt-type coveralls with a brown collar, black gloves and white sneakers.
