Police Release Home Invasion/Shooting Details

Lower Southampton authorities have released the police report in the Wednesday night home invasion and shooting that occurred on Eastview Avenue in the Feasterville section of the township.

Police are now releasing that the three black men who were armed with handguns, stole two cell phones, in the home invasion that left no one injured.

The police report says the family which consisted of an adult male, female woman, two sons and dog were in the home when the three black males entered the home through an entrance at ranch style home’s kitchen. BuxMontNews.com will not be releasing the names of the family.

The adult male and one of his two sons were watching television when the family dog began barking, the dog began barking when the gunmen entered the house.

The three men with handguns drawn demanded phones, drugs and money from the family.

Next the adult female entered the living room and one of the suspects told her to shut the dog up, she said she would crate the dog. One of the suspects followed her with his gun drawn.

The adult male and his son were forced to lay on the floor as one of the suspects went into one of the three bedrooms. Once in the bedroom the suspect slammed the door shut and fired his gun three times in rapid succession.

The report also says the adult male then heard one of the suspects tell his other son who was in the bedroom to enter the other bedroom and lay down on the floor.

The adult male told police he then yelled out for his wife who did not respond.

The suspects fled the house and the adult female who was crating the dog ran to a next door neighbor’s house where she called for the police.

The adult female reported to police she thinks there was a dark-colored vehicle outside the home but it took off as she was running to her neighbor’s home.

Police arrived five minutes after 9:30 p.m. and checked the home and found the bedroom door smashed in and a broken mirror was discovered.

The responding officer also reported that three shell casings and a bullet were found near the bedroom door.

The report says that the bedroom appeared to have been rummaged through during the home invasion.

Lower Southampton police said that officers from Bensalem, Bristol and Upper Southampton also responded to assist Lower Southampton authorities.

The three suspects were described as being African-American, between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, one of the suspects was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.
