Accident Closes Davisville Road, Car on Roof

A driver was injured when they lost control of their vehicle going around the bend on Davisville near Pioneer Roads in Upper Moreland Monday evening.

Upper Moreland police say the 1990’s model Mercury Sable was traveling on Davisville Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The car flipped and came to rest upside down on an embankment.

The driver suffered what a police officer described as “minor injuries” and was taken to Abington Hospital.

Fire police shut down Davisville Road for close to an hour while the accident was cleared and police investigated.

The accident which was reported shortly after 9 p.m. only involved the Sable.

With-in 30 minutes of the accident occurring the car was flip right side up and being prepared to be towed away.

Police say that it is unclear at this time if a citation will be issued to the driver.
