A multi-vehicle accident with injuries closed the Eastbound lanes of Street Road and the Northbound lanes of York Road this evening around 4 p.m.

The four vehicle accident sent three people to the hospital, ambulances from Warminster, Southampton and Hatboro responded along with Warminster fire and police crews.

Witnesses to the crash say a Hyundai SUV ran the red light heading North on York Road plowing into a Toyota Prius then slamming into a Jeep and new Ford Taurus which were traveling on Street Road.

The crash is the second serious accident at York and Street Roads in recent weeks.

“Nobody obeys red and green lights,” said Claire Thomas a 32 year resident of Warminster who says the intersection has “gotten worse” recently.

Police who were working to reopen the major roadways did not comment.

Shortly after 5 p.m. a second accident this time less serious was reported at York and Street Roads according to Bucks County dispatch.
