Whooping-Cough Outbreak in Bryn Athyn

Montgomery County officials announced that five elementary aged students at the Bryn Athyn Church School have reported cases of pertussis aka. "whooping-cough." The vaccine is being offered to students and staff. In a release officials from the county department of health identify symptoms as sneezing, runny nose, low-grade fever, and mild coughing progress to severe coughing. Authorities said the county has reported 74 cases county-wide this year. (Tom Sofield)
