Abington police and the FBI are seeking a man who robbed the Citizen’s Bank on Easton Road in Willow Grove Friday shortly before noon.

Authorities say the suspect in the robbery entered the bank, demanded money from bank employees and then lead tellers to believe he was armed with a gun.

Authorities believe the light-skinned black or Hispanic man put the undisclosed amount of cash into a plastic bag and then escaped in a Kia Sephia with the Pennsylvania license plate HKD-3226.

Police were in pursuit of the Kia following the robbery but lost track of it on Fitzwatertown Road after the sedan headed into the city.

The man who is wanted by authorities is described as a light skinned black or Hispanic male, early 20’s, thin build, clean shaven, was wearing a dark-colored heavy coat or sweatshirt with the hood on, also black scarf over his face that fell during the robbery and dark gloves.

Authorities are looking for anyone with information if you can help call the FBI’s Philadelphia office at 215-418-4000.

Updated November 15, 9:41 p.m.: Police believe that the suspect involved in the Willow Grove hold-up was also involved with a hold-up in Lower Gwynedd on Thursday.
